Am I the only one, I can't be, who just wants to say to the financiers, the politicians, the money-mongers of all their various ilks - "Okay, just knock it off!"
I know there's all sort of tremendously profound reasons for the economic mess. You can look anywhere and find someone to explain it to you.
But I think the average guy looks at it in confusion and just wants to tell the financial finaglers to grow up.
This is stupid. Or anyway, it sure looks stupid. The US economy lost 30-40 percent of its value just in the last few months?
Puhlease.
And the government can pull us out?
Puhlease.
It just makes me want to say to someone - Stop It!
It makes me want to bang some heads together.
I know, I know, "sound financial principles", "toxic debt", "overextended yada yada".
I'll bet you a dollar to a donut that a great majority of Americans are thinking this is just too stupid. Good old-fashioned common sense tells me, and I believe a large portion of America, that this is all just ridiculous.
So a simple suggestion. Grow up. Knock off the stupid talk. Move on. Take your losses and write 'em off, swallow the bitter-tasting humble pie and get back to work.
You budget bunglers!
